Kruger - Lake Panic Bird Hide : Lake Panic Bird Hide, near Skukuza is one of the best bird watching areas in Kruger. The hide has an excellent location over looking a section of Lake Panic. Great positioning for the morning sun as it rises over the lake, you have to be there early though! No matter what time you get there, there is always plenty to watch.

Kruger - Skukuza : Ok I will admit I am kind of biased, I do connect strongly with Southern Africa but there is something special about Kruger. We have done some of the best private reserves and parks in Africa but there is something very cool about doing your own thing. Yes Kruger can be crowded down south but there is still plenty of room to get away from people. The frustrations are more than balanced by the joy of self drive discovery. You can see the big 5 but there is so much more to see and the ability to be out when the light is nice means you can find opportunity everyday.

Kruger - Olifants : Olifants was a bit of a mixed bag, some excellent hyena sightings but that was about it. The view from our bungalow was outstanding. It was nice to sit on the porch downloading photos overlooking the Olifant river with the elephants crossing with an Amarula nearby. The perfect way to end a day.

Kruger - Satara : Satara - home of the open plains in Kruger and land of the big cats. We saw them but not alot of photo worthy sightings. This camp has the best run restaurant and most organised game drives. Each day the sightings fromt he drives is written up on a board near reception to get you inspired to do a drive or walk.

Kruger - Letaba : Letaba, land of mopani and big male elephants. It took awhile for Letaba to grow on me the mopani is a pain after the bush from down south. It was only upon reviewing shots I realised just how many big male elephants we saw in nice light. We also got lucky with leopard suprisingly in this environment. The camp is quite nice too.
