Etosha National Park covers an areas of around 22 270 sq km, and has 114 mammal species. If you have been to East Africa then you are in for a major change of scenery. No endless plains of grasslands here. The dominating feature of the park is the Etosha Pan, a large slat and clay pan that covers 25% of the park.
The harsh light is a challenge and you have to be back in camp by sunset so it can be photographically challenging.
Perserve though as the results can be worth it. Like any wildlife experience though you have to give it time to get the most out of it.
